New Delhi, Jan 30: Information is
all boon for those who strive for their career in journalism or either communication
advocacy. This was objected during a three day workshop at Central for Science
& Environment, New Delhi on a workshop for E-Outreach: Information for
strategic communication. The participation were in of opinion that blogging,
e-communication and other online initiatives help build shape writing career.
“The E-outreach programme creates
high quality digital text, audio, video and HTML contents of educational value
for knowledge dissemination,” said Kiran Pandey, the Course Director. She
further added that the main benefit of the strategic communication is the “democratization”
of the thoughts, ideas, suggestions, value statements etc that occurs through
anonymity. In theory, all views should be seen as equal, with their merit
tested against the logic of the argument, She further added.
The workshop was mainly targeted
for South Asian participants, where writers and journalists from Bangladesh,
Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan were present.
